It is with profound sadness that Saint Thomas More Catholic School mourns the passing of our beloved first grade teacher, Ms. Selina Johnson.

For years, Ms. Johnson faithfully served the children and families of Saint Thomas More Catholic School and was a steady and trusted presence in our community. She guided and nurtured our first graders in their academic growth, confidence, and wonder. Families and students alike describe her as both kind and firm, a teacher who balanced truth with love and offered the stability children needed to grow.

Even in the face of hardship, Ms. Johnson carried herself with remarkable clarity, courage, and grace. She approached life, and her vocation, with a grounded sense of perspective and a deep trust in God.

As we grieve her loss, we also give thanks for the gift of her life. Her impact will continue to be felt in the students she taught, the families she served, and the colleagues who were blessed to work alongside her.

As our 75th anniversary class, these students helped mark a special chapter in STM history while writing a beautiful chapter of their own.
What a gift it has been to watch these students discover who they are becoming and who God is calling them to be. One graduate shared, “STM has helped me learn we are all here for a reason.”
