Experience is part of the education at Agnes Scott.
Scotties aren't waiting until after graduation to explore careers, build professional networks and apply what they're learning in the classroom.
They're doing it throughout their college journey.
By the numbers:
- 81% of Agnes Scott students complete an internship or mentored research experience.
- Among the Class of 2025, 79% completed an internship, research project or creative project before graduation.
- Nearly one in four graduates (23%) completed two or more internships.
- Of students who completed internships, 60% participated in at least one paid opportunity.
These experiences help students develop confidence, gain real-world skills and discover new possibilities for their futures. We're proud to see Scotties turning classroom learning into meaningful impact long before they cross the commencement stage.

The possibilities for our students are endless. With our campus programs and access to global experiences, Scotties are encouraged to explore their academic interests across cultures and communities around the world. Through the Fulbright program, grantees serve as cultural ambassadors supporting English language learning while building meaningful connections abroad.
Meet Fulbright grantee, Doreen H. ’26
Major/Degree: Bachelor of Arts in International Relations
Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
How did you learn about the Fulbright opportunity?
“I first learned about Fulbright during my first year at Agnes Scott through another student who had received the award. At the time, I didn’t think I’d apply, but it stayed with me. After studying abroad in Germany, I realized I could actually see myself doing this. The process pushed me to reflect on everything I had done academically and in my community and helped me recognize my own growth as a leader.”
Doreen will travel to Germany as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, where she will support English learning while engaging with students and local communities.
“I’ve always wanted to immerse myself in different cultures and challenge myself in new environments. Through this experience, I hope to create meaningful exchanges, sharing my own perspective while learning from others. Being abroad has already shown me how complex and layered cultures are, and I want to help broaden that understanding for others as well.”
Reflecting on her journey, Doreen credits the Agnes Scott community for helping her get here.
“It’s really everyone here, faculty, staff, friends and alums, who supported me throughout this process. Agnes Scott prepares you to think globally and engage across cultures, and I feel confident stepping into this next chapter because of that.”
Congratulations Doreen!
