Academe of the Oaks is a Waldorf informed, college preparatory high school in Decatur, GA. Academe of the Oaks offers ninth through twelfth grades.

A few moments from Field Day before we wrapped up the school year.
Competition, teamwork, laughter, and a little friendly rivalry made for a memorable day on campus. From relay races to team challenges, students had the opportunity to step outside the classroom, connect across grade levels, and celebrate the close of another year together.

Summer reading is underway at Academe of the Oaks.
Reading is more than a summer assignment. It is an opportunity to encounter new ideas, consider different perspectives, and begin the conversations that will continue throughout the school year.

Last Saturday afternoon, we said goodbye to the Class of 2026.
It was a beautiful event filled with reflection, laughter, gratitude, and love as we celebrated this incredible group of seniors.
We will truly miss them.
What starts as curiosity can become a life changing experience.
Kay, a freshman at Academe of the Oaks, will spend part of sophomore year in Geneva through Academe’s international exchange program. Drawn to language and linguistics, Kay chose a French speaking region as an opportunity to grow through immersion, independence, and cultural experience.
“At first, I didn’t want to do exchange because I thought it would be too complicated. But I decided that I did want to do it because it’s really a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
At Academe, students are encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones, explore the world directly, and discover new perspectives through experience.

It is no small task to put on a play in only three weeks. Our seniors demonstrated their acting skills with a wonderful performance of Uncle Vanya this past Friday and Saturday.
From rehearsals and set preparation to final performances on stage, students dedicated themselves fully to the production process.
Thank you to the seniors and Dr. Alldritt for this beautiful gift to the Academe community, and to Mr. Painter Hayes for his support of the production.
