The transition to college is one of the biggest moments in your student's life. And one of the biggest worries for many families is simple: will my student know who to turn to?
Starting this year, every incoming student at UNT is assigned a "One Team" — an academic advisor, a peer mentor, and a career coach — from their very first day on campus.
That means your student has three dedicated people who know their name, follow their progress, and are ready to help with everything from choosing classes to building a career path.

This summer, Maegan is gaining hands-on experience at Hatch Show Print, where she is building on her studies in communication design, graphic design, and printmaking. Her internship allows her to combine creativity with practical skills, from letterpress printing to working with clients on custom designs.
Experiences like this are made possible through UNT’s student employment program, which helps students balance academics with meaningful work, strengthen their portfolios, and prepare for competitive careers with confidence.
