Denton ISD is proud to share that our Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) expansion application has been approved by the Texas Education Agency, a major step toward recognizing and rewarding the educators who make the biggest difference for our students with meaningful, state-funded compensation!

Here's what to know:
✨ Teachers can earn one of four designations: Acknowledged, Recognized, Exemplary, or Master
✨ Each designation comes with additional pay every year for five years
✨ Because it's state-funded, it rewards great teaching without impacting our local budget
✨ The program rolls out in phases, with the first payouts beginning in August 2027

This milestone builds on our ongoing commitment to our people, including recent compensation increases for teachers and staff. We can't wait to celebrate the educators who make Denton ISD a great place to learn and grow!

🔥 Denton High Bronco BBQ Team brought the heat at the National High School BBQ Championship, competing against more than 100 of the nation's top youth and high school barbecue teams.

The Broncos earned:
• 8th Place Ribs, Gold Team
• 12th Place Ribeye, Gold Team
• 9th Place Upside Down Cake, Purple Team
