In the ActivateWork office, the big silver bell rings every time a learner gets hired. And every time it rings, we stop what we’re doing to cheer.

We love this tradition because it reflects something real about who we are. We care deeply about the people in our programs, we celebrate their wins as a community, and we stay invested in their success long after graduation.

That’s why we especially love it when graduates come back to ring their own bell. There’s something really special about welcoming them back, celebrating together again, and being reminded that these relationships don’t end when the program does.

That bell holds a lot of joy and a lot of heart—it symbolizes the Sound of a New Beginning. 💛

🎉 Today, we’re celebrating Collier Pierce!

After graduating from our IT Support & Security Fundamentals cohort last September, Collier has officially landed a Service Desk Technician role with C Squared Computer Consulting. 👏

His coaches describe him as a standout learner—someone who didn’t just focus on his own success, but helped those around him succeed too. From earning extra certifications to creating a study guide for the CompTIA A+ exam that’s still used today, Collier showed us what it means to lead with both skill and heart.

Through it all, he stayed committed, kept pushing forward, and never gave up on his goal.
We’re so proud of you, Collier—this is just the beginning 🚀

We were grateful to welcome two incredible guest speakers:

💼 Makena Schramm from Brooksource broke down what recruiters really look for during technical interviews and job screenings

After the talks, our alumni jumped into breakout stations for personalized coaching on LinkedIn profiles, interviewing skills, job search strategy, and resumes—and the energy was incredible.

🎉 Graduation celebration time! 🎉

Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of our first IT Support & Security Fundamentals cohort of 2026—and what a group they are.

This cohort brought energy, curiosity, and engagement from day one. Their valedictorian, Jaramie, shared a powerful reminder that success isn’t about always knowing what to do—it’s about asking the right questions.

We’re so grateful to Per Scholas instructors Marlin and Mahima for their guidance and encouragement, and for reminding learners to “stay curious, and stay in touch!”

The learners also created a short video sharing heartfelt thanks for their instructors and coaches, complete with illustrated portraits of Marlin and Mahima that truly captured them.

As they head into their capstone project at MSU, we’re proud to celebrate this milestone and cheer them on. 🎉
