Congratulations to all of the new Regis alumni!

Time is running out to protect a cornerstone of Colorado’s higher education system. A proposed budget footnote seeks to eliminate $14M in state need-based financial aid and work-study specifically for Colorado students attending nonpublic and nonprofit institutions like Regis University.

Why this matters: This isn't just a budget trim — it is an elimination of state support for nearly 800 Regis students. This move contradicts long-standing state law (CRS 23-3.7-101), which was designed to ensure that every Colorado student has access to diverse educational opportunities, regardless of their background resources.

The legislature may vote on this bill as early as Monday, April 20. We are calling on our entire community — alumni, parents, students and staff — to act today.

• Call: A brief phone call to your legislator’s office makes a significant impact.
• Social: Post your own story and tag your legislators to make sure they hear from their constituents.
