Our next MEA highlight features Dr. Luke Williams, Competency-Based Education Coordinator and Sr. Lecturer at Central Washington University.
Luke’s favorite marketing topic is Consumer Behavior. He joined MEA because he sees it as a respected organization with great people, engaging and educational events, and valuable opportunities to connect with fellow marketing educators and share research throughout the year.
He’s brand new to the board, though he has already attended three conferences. If he weren’t in academia, Luke could see himself in entrepreneurship or consulting.
Outside of work, he’s a bass guitar player and an active, competitive tennis and pickleball player.

Our next MEA highlight features Mary Beth McCabe, Professor at Point Loma Nazarene University.
Mary Beth’s favorite marketing topics include Digital Marketing, with a focus on social, mobile, and GEO. She joined MEA to continue developing the craft of teaching marketing, and we’re excited to welcome her as a new member.
If she weren’t in academia, Mary Beth would be a world traveler. Right now, she’s enjoying The Pitt.

Our next MEA highlight features Wendy K. Bendoni, Chair of Marketing & Fashion Marketing at Woodbury University.
Wendy’s favorite marketing topics include Digital Culture, Luxury Marketing, and Influencers. She joined MEA after attending one of the best conferences she’d been to in a long time and wanting to become a deeper part of the community.
She will begin serving as an at-large member of MEA, and we’re excited to have her perspective and energy in this role. If she weren’t in academia, Wendy could see herself as a futurist or wine maker.
Outside of work, Wendy recommends live poetry readings, supporting women’s soccer, and monthly Clydesdale rides in Cambria.

Our next board member highlight features Dr. Sarah Rand, Professor in the Department of Business Administration at St. Catherine University. Sarah’s focus is Marketing Research, and she brings a strong background in the field along with a clear passion for how marketing is taught and studied. We’re excited to have her serving as a first-year board member.
Outside of work, Sarah loves to travel and is a regular at hot yoga.

Our next board member highlight features Dr. John Franklin, Assistant Professor at St. Catherine University. John spent 30 years working in marketing before moving into the classroom, and that experience shapes how he teaches every day. His focus areas include AI and Digital Marketing Analytics, and we’re excited to have him serving as a first-year board member.
Fun fact: he’s currently re-learning Japanese ahead of an upcoming university program trip.

Our next board member highlight features Dr. Michael Pettiette, Member at Large of MEA and Professor at the University of Houston-Downtown.
Michael brings a wealth of industry experience to the classroom, having spent his career as an ad agency CEO and VP at CBS before transitioning into higher education. His areas of focus include Generative Engine Optimization, Marketing Education, and Marketing Org.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys collecting watches, gardening, and great television.
