Sport does not have to mean competition. It can be pickleball, hiking, skiing, biking, climbing, running, swimming, rec league games, or playing outside with your kids.
..trying out Colorado's heritage sport: B***o Racing?
Play counts.
Trying new things counts.
Using your fitness outside the gym counts.
The point is not to be elite at everything.
The point is to have the capacity and confidence to participate.

At the top of the hierarchy is SPORT.
This is where general fitness gets applied to specific challenges.
New skills.
New environments.
New movement patterns.
Pressure.
Fatigue.
Coordination.
Decision-making.
Sport asks the body to adapt.
And that is one of the reasons we train: Not just to be better at workouts, but to be more capable everywhere.

The goal is not one perfect lift.
The goal is years of strong, capable movement.
That means learning the basics, practicing often, taking coaching, scaling when needed, and respecting the process.
Some days are heavy.
Some days are technical.
Some days are humbling.
All of them build.

WEIGHTLIFTING teaches us how to generate and transfer power.:
From the legs.
Through the core.
Out to the arms.
Into the object.
That transfer shows up in sport, daily life, and all kinds of movement.
Lifting is not just about the gym.
It is about learning how to move strong, stable, and connected.
Cuspis Coaches are here to help!

Heavy looks different for everyone in WEIGHTLIFTING and THROWING.
For one person, it is a loaded barbell.
For another, it is a kettlebell, dumbbell, PVC pipe, or empty bar.
The point is the stimulus.
Can you move with control?
Can you maintain good positions?
Can you challenge yourself safely?
That is the work.
At Cuspis, we scale load the same way we scale everything else: to meet you where you are.

Technique IS strength when WEIGHTLIFTING or THROWING.
Strength is not only about how much weight is on the bar.
It is also about position, timing, balance, bracing, and control.
A better setup can change the lift.
A stronger brace can protect the spine.
A more patient pull can improve power.
A better receiving position can build confidence.
Technique is not separate from strength.
Technique is how strength becomes usable.

The fourth level of the hierarchy is WEIGHTLIFTING and THROWING.
This is where we take the foundation (nutrition, conditioning, and body control) and apply it to an external object.
Barbells.
Dumbbells.
Kettlebells.
Med balls.
Sandbags.
The goal is not just to move weight.
The goal is to move weight well.
Mechanics first. Consistency second. Intensity after that.

Everyone has a next step.
Not the flashiest step.
Not the hardest step.
The right step.
That might mean building strict strength, improving mobility, practicing positions, or choosing a scaled option that helps you move better.
At Cuspis, coaches are here to help you find the version that fits.
