Happy Juneteenth from the Sexploratorium!

As educators, we believe that understanding the past is essential to building a better future. Juneteenth is an opportunity to reflect on the realities of slavery, the long struggle for freedom, and the ways that history continues to shape our communities today.

We're also want to take the time to honor the Black educators, activists, researchers, healthcare providers, and s*xuality professionals whose work has expanded knowledge, challenged barriers, and made s*x education more inclusive, compassionate, and accessible. Our field is stronger because of their contributions, and we are grateful to learn and teach alongside them!

Today, we celebrate freedom, recognize resilience, and recommit ourselves to education that tells the truth about our history and respects the dignity of every person.

Meet our staff! We highlight our instructors and staff members on our newsletter, but we want to give them even more love and introduce them here as well. Goddess Mak is one of our most prolific instructors! She teaches multiple classes each month including Kink for Couples, How to be a Dom, The Art of Submission, and new classes like Erotic Touch and Dungeons and Munches and Parties, Oh MY! A Guide to the Denver Kink Scene. When she isn't teaching, she is performing all over town and producing shows here at the Sexploratorium. Surprise! I'm still around and ready to teach! I have finished the regular chemo but I haven't started my stem cell treatment yet, so I'm slipping in a couple of classes this month.
