Good afternoon Priest Families,
I wanted to take a moment to share that I have accepted a new position within the district that will allow me to support not only Priest Elementary Middle School, but also other schools across Detroit.
Serving as the principal of Priest for the past seven years has been one of the greatest honors of my career. I am truly grateful that you trusted me, our staff, and our school with your children. Throughout these years, I have learned so much from our students, families, and community, and I deeply appreciate your commitment to your scholarsβ success.
Together, we have built a school culture that celebrates every studentβs background, supports academic growth, and creates a family atmosphere where students can thrive. While I am moving into a new role, the great things happening at Priest will continue because of the incredible students, families, and staff who make this school so special.
I am also excited to welcome Principal Bolden as the new principal of Priest Elementary Middle School. Principal Bolden is an academically strong and seasoned school leader who has served students and families within our district for many years. She brings a wealth of educational experience, instructional leadership, and a strong commitment to student achievement. I am confident that she will continue moving Priest forward academically and culturally while ensuring that our students and families receive the support, opportunities, and high-quality educational experiences they deserve.
Thank you for your support, partnership, and trust over the years. It has been a privilege to serve your children and to be a part of the Priest family. I will always cherish the memories, relationships, and accomplishments we have shared together.
With sincere gratitude,
Jeremaine Kyles
Principal

Today, as we recognize Memorial Day, the Priest Elementary Middle School family would like to take a moment to honor and remember the brave individuals who have served and sacrificed in support of our country.
We extend our gratitude to all military members, veterans, active service members, and families who continue to support those who serve. Their commitment, courage, and dedication remind us of the importance of community, service, and caring for one another.
At Priest, we support and celebrate all of our families and the diverse experiences that m0ake our school community strong.
We hope you enjoy this special day with your loved ones and take time to reflect, remember, and appreciate those who have served.
