A Wayne State University student team representing social work, nursing and medicine participated in the 2026 National CLARION Case Competition, hosted by the University of Minnesota, where they applied interprofessional training from the classroom to a national health care challenge.
Their participation grew out of Wayne State’s Interprofessional Education Course 7115, in which students from multiple health disciplines worked together during the fall semester to respond to a mock case. The winning team from that class earned the opportunity to represent Wayne State at the competition, a first for WSU.
