JA In A Day at César Chávez Academy Lower Elementary, powered by Deloitte. 🏫🙌

For the fifth year in a row, Deloitte volunteers returned to César Chávez (Aztec Eagles Academy Lower Elementary ) for Impact Day. Students spent the day learning financial literacy, career exploration, and entrepreneurship through hands-on JA activities.

Jason Coffman, Principal at Deloitte Consulting and a JA Board Member for 15 years, served as the overall sponsor for the day. Molly and Puneet, also from Deloitte, helped organize the volunteers and keep everything running.

Five years of showing up. That is commitment. Thank you to Deloitte for making JA In A Day possible at César Chávez.

Chandler Park Academy School District students took over JA Finance Park. 🎓💰They stepped into our real-world budgeting simulation, making decisions about housing, transportation, savings, and unexpected expenses. The students left with more than a score. They left with a clearer picture of what their financial futures could look like.

Volunteers from Fifth Third Bank, DTE Energy, and RSM US LLP guided them through the experience, answering questions and sharing real world perspective.

Nearly 50 young professionals filled JA Finance Park for a sold-out night of the Stock Market Challenge Ultimate Networking Experience. 📈🍻 Erika Monae emceed. Jack Howard led a session on financial wellness. Our trading floor simulation was fast-paced, competitive, and fun. Drinks and appetizers were provided free of charge.

Incredible networking connections were made. Participants sharpened their financial skills which will continue to pay off for decades to come, and attendees also learned about the invaluable work of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan. 119 golfers. 34 sponsors. $133,000 raised for Southeast Michigan students. ⛳💥

That is what the 26th Annual Chipping In "FORE" Kids Golf Classic looked like this year. Presented by Amerisure Insurance, with Gold Sponsors Morgan Stanley, Guy Carpenter, MagnaInternational, and RSM US LLP helping lead the way.

Every drive, every putt, every sponsorship commitment added up to real funding for JA's financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs.

Not a bad day on the course.

Romulus Middle School (Romulus Community Schools) students stepped into JA Finance Park to make real world decisions about housing, transportation, savings, and trade offs.

When only two of the nine expected volunteers arrived, JA staff and the volunteers from PVS Chemicals Inc. and Fifth Third Bank stepped up. They ran the simulation, answered student questions, and made sure the day ran as planned.

The students got their full budgeting simulation. They left with a clearer picture of how money works in real life. That happened because people on the ground refused to cancel.

Students from Hanley Elementary came to our Detroit office for a second floor workshop featuring the JA BizTown simulation. They learned about businesses, jobs, money, and the roles people play in a community.

Meghan DeHate, Hanley's educator and our 2026 JA Educator of the Year, brought her students ready to learn. JA staff Melanie and Rachell led the simulation, guiding students through the hands-on experience.

This is what learning looks like when it leaves the classroom!

JA In A Day at Faxon Academy, powered by UHY US. 🏫🙌 Students spent the day learning financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship. Volunteers brought energy. Students stayed engaged. And one educator, Ms. Lewis, put it this way:

"I was so excited that Faxon Academy was chosen to participate in JA in a Day. From the moment they arrived, everyone was pleasant, enthusiastic, and ready to jump in. The volunteers brought such positive energy and truly connected with our students. It was an amazing experience watching our scholars engage, learn, and enjoy every moment of the day. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and look forward to participating again in the future."

A special thank you to Shannon Anspaugh for organizing the event and to Nicole Baker from UHY. Volunteers like you are why JA In A Day succeeds.
