πŸŒŸπŸ’™ Pleaae give Bright Star welcome to Mrs. Benham!πŸ’™πŸŒŸ

Hello, Bright Star Elementary School families! My name is Stephanie Benham, and I am excited to be joining Bright Star as a Kindergarten teacher this year. I have spent the past three years working in education as a paraprofessional, and I am thrilled to begin this new chapter in my first year of teaching Kindergarten.

My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 25 years. We have two wonderful childrenβ€”a 21-year-old daughter who recently graduated from college and a 15-year-old son who keeps us busy playing multiple sports.

I am looking forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff at Bright Star Elementary and to making this a fun and successful school year for our Kindergarteners!

Hi! My name is Baylee Cox, and I am excited to soon become Mrs. Hulsey! I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade at Bright Star Elementary this year. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University and am currently working on my master’s degree at the University of West Georgia.

I love teaching and creating a fun classroom for my students. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and traveling. I can’t wait for a great school year!

πŸ’™πŸŒŸ Help us welcome Kathryn Mancil to Bright Star. She will be joining our 5th grade team! πŸŒŸπŸ’™

β€œI was born and raised in Coffee County Georgia, so I may have a thicker accent than what you might expect! I got married in 2024 to my husband Eric, and we bought a house nearby. In 2024, I began my journey of pursuing a PhD in early childhood leadership and advocacy. My husband and I have two dogs named Scout and Goose; can’t forget loving on our class pet, Fiona the leopard gecko. I would describe myself as loud, energetic, and proud to be a teacher. Fifth grade holds a special place in my heart, and I am so thankful to be able to do it again with you this year!"
