As things start to grow in the garden, we are super excited to get some of our older kids out there to participate in collecting the fruits and veggies, help water plants, etc! Kristi even has a couple of cute games planned to make it a super sweet experience for the kiddos. 🤍

What inspired you to work in childcare?
“The love I have for children. I feel very happy spending time with them.”

What is your favorite book to read during story time?
“Brown Bear and all of Dr. Seuss’s books. When I read them, I’m reminded of when I first started working at SSA 15 years ago.”

Do you have a favorite memory from your time working here?
“I will never forget the welcome everyone at the daycare gave me when I first started. I received so much love and respect.”

What is your go-to activity for keeping the children engaged and happy?
“Doing arts and crafts with the children and dancing with them- they really love that!”

What do you like most about being part of our daycare team?
“I love that my coworkers are always willing to help whenever it’s needed. I feel secure knowing they’re always there to support me and make me feel good.”

SSA Families,

We wanted to share something close to our hearts. One of our teachers, Kayla, recently received difficult news that her dad (also Kenley’s “Papa”) has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

He will be having a port placed soon and starting chemotherapy, with plans to reassess after a few months of treatment.

Kayla and her family truly appreciate all prayers, support, and words of encouragement as they navigate this unexpected “new normal.” If you feel led to help in any additional way, please reach out to me (Carleigh Franks) and we can get something organized.

While we understand that not everyone at SSA shares the same beliefs, we personally believe that God is the author and orchestrator of all things, and that He can do what man cannot. We are believing for healing in Ken Martin’s life and trusting for something that surpasses all understanding! 🤍
