Wish you were here!

Summer brings a different pace to Duke University. The buildings are quieter, the gardens are full, and campus has a chance to catch its breath.

Where was your favorite quiet spot on campus?

The Duke community brought a little Blue Devil spirit to London! 💙

Nearly 200 alumni and friends gathered in Covent Garden for a MADE FOR THIS: The Duke Campaign spotlight event. The evening featured inspiring conversations with Duke leaders, faculty, students, and alumni, along with plenty of opportunities to reconnect and build new connections.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in London. We can’t wait to see where the Duke community gathers next!

💙 The Blue Devil has been spotted in London!

Tonight, Duke alumni and friends are coming together for MADE FOR THIS: The Duke Campaign, celebrating the people, ideas, and partnerships that connect our community across the globe.

This special Blue Devil artwork was created by one of our Duke Alumni staff artists—a creative reminder that wherever Duke travels, our community helps bring it to life.

Designing a Second Act 05/31/2026

“I didn’t retire, I graduated.”

After more than 25 years as a trusted TV news anchor in Washington, D.C., Holly Morris Espy ’93 took on a completely new challenge: co-founding a women’s pickleball apparel company with a mission tied to wellness and brain health.

From engineering student at Duke University to journalist to entrepreneur, her story is a great reminder that there’s no single path after graduation — and sometimes the most exciting chapter comes later.

Designing a Second Act When Holly Morris Espy ’93 entered Duke, she came with the intention of becoming an engineer. She earned her degree in environmental and civil engineering from what is now Pratt, but left Durham carrying a passion for television news that had been percolating in the back of her mind for years.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the members of the Duke community who served our country and never made it home.

Their names live on in the Duke Chapel Memorial Quadrangle, first created to honor alumni lost in World War II and later expanded to recognize those who served in Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War and Iraq.

We remember them today and always. 💙

Watch ’til the end... 💙🎓

Seeing Duke University grads read notes from alumni who once stood exactly where they are now? Yeah, it got us too.

Congrats to the Class of 2026, and welcome to the Forever Duke family. No matter when you graduated, some things about Duke never really change.
