IAIER is partnering with Leidos to host an AI Career Immersion Day Camp for students in grades 11–12 this July.

Participants will learn from industry professionals and explore how AI is transforming fields like:
• Healthcare
• Defense
• Advanced Scanning Technologies

This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on exposure to emerging technology and discover future career pathways in AI.

From conversation to collaboration 💡

Dr. Siobahn Day Grady represented North Carolina Central University at the 2026 North Carolina Technology Day panel discussion, “Taking AI from Theory to Reality.”

It was a great opportunity to connect with technology and business leaders across the state while continuing important conversations around innovation, responsible AI, and the future of learning and work.

The Emerging Scholars and Leaders Showcase was a true celebration—honoring our first cohort and all they’ve accomplished this year.

From project presentations to certificate recognitions, every moment reflected growth, hard work, and community. We were especially proud to celebrate our graduating scholars, who received honor cords to represent their journey as IAIER Emerging Scholars.

So much joy, so much pride, and such a strong start to something special.

In partnership with AWS, we hosted an Amazon Bedrock Agents Workshop where participants got hands-on experience building their own AI agents—no coding required!

From learning how AI “thinks” to connecting with real-world data, the room was full of curiosity, engagement, and great questions.

Dr. Siobahn Day Grady brought the energy to Carolina Canvas Connect, speaking to a full room of educators, administrators, and instructional designers ready to explore what AI means for teaching and learning.

From real strategies to real conversations, this session had people thinking, asking questions, and engaging every step of the way.

Spaces like this remind us—AI in education isn’t just about tools… it’s about people, purpose, and preparing students for what’s next.
