Grounded in the science of how the brain learns, this interactive training explores explicit instruction and active engagement strategies that help students receive, process, retrieve, and apply learning. , we had the pleasure of partnering with 35 educators from Eastway Elementary School for a day of professional learning. Together, we explored explicit instruction and active engagement, two evidence-based practices that support student success. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with dedicated educators who are committed to helping every student reach their potential.

Metacognition is the ability to think about your own thinking; understanding what you know, what you don’t, and how to adjust. For students, this skill is key to problem-solving, self-reflection, and becoming more independent.
