MCA STEM Innovation Lab

The future of healthcare is being shaped by artificial intelligence, and local students can experience it firsthand.

The Medical Center of the Americas Foundation Innovation Center and STEM Lab, in partnership with Workforce Solutions, invite high school students to participate in AI for Health: From Data to Discovery, a two-day interactive workshop taking place July 23–24.

Led by Ivan Gris, students will learn how AI is used in healthcare, public health, biomedical research, and scientific discovery through hands-on activities and real-world examples.

Participants will explore:
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Healthcare and public health data
• Biomedical imaging and visualization
• 3D and virtual reality technologies
• Future career pathways in STEM and healthcare

No coding experience is required, making this workshop accessible to students who are curious about technology, science, and innovation.
