A True Gentleman isn't defined solely by titles, achievements, or career success.

He's the dad cheering from the sidelines, the partner who shows up every day, the mentor who leads by example, and the family man who puts love, integrity, and service into action.

Happy Father's Day to all of our SAE dads and father figures!

As the New York Knicks celebrate their first NBA championship since 1973, we're reminded that an SAE brother was part of the last team to do it.

Brother Phil Jackson, North Dakota Alpha ('67), was drafted by the Knicks in 1967 and served as a key reserve on New York's 1973 championship team before becoming one of the most successful coaches in sports history with 11 NBA titles.

A True Gentleman. A champion. An SAE. πŸ† ΦΑ

This week, we had the honor of welcoming Brother Dick Lies to the Levere Memorial Temple. Dick came by to check out his newly installed portrait being displayed in the Office of the Eminent Supreme Recorder.

One of only 169 Distinguished Service Award recipients, our 9th Eminent Supreme Recorder, current Financial & Housing Board member, and Chapter Advisor for Illinois Psi-Omega (Northwestern), Dick has dedicated his life to serving Sigma Alpha Epsilon and helping our members grow and succeed.

From military service as a Captain in the United States Air Force to leadership in the corporate and nonprofit worlds, Brother Lies exemplifies what it means to live as a True Gentleman. Thank you, Dick, for your lifelong dedication to our Fraternity and for continuing to inspire brothers across the Realm.

It was great having you here for a visit, Dick!

If you're traveling to Chicago this summer, please stop by and visit us at the Temple. Our team here would love to give you a tour and hear about everything you've been up to!

The NMDP results are in and SAE chapters showed up in a BIG way!

Since August 1, 2025, SAE chapters have added 10,495 new registry members through NMDP events and celebrated 65 life-saving donors who joined the registry through SAE events or are known SAE members.

Since launching our partnership with NMDP in 2021, our brotherhood has helped add 36,931 registry members and has led to 160 donors, each one representing a second chance at life.

Every few minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and young, healthy donors can make a life-saving difference.

πŸ† 2025–26 NMDP Chapter Competition Results:
πŸ₯‡ University of Arizona (3rd consecutive year in 1st place)
πŸ₯ˆ Worcester Polytechnic Institute
πŸ₯‰ Clemson University
4️⃣ Appalachian State University
5️⃣ California State University-Chico

πŸ‘ Special Recognition:

This is brotherhood in action. Thank you to every chapter and every brother who stepped up to help save lives.

For 41 years, the SAE World Series has been about more than baseball. ⚾

This time last week, brothers, family and friends traveled from across the country to take part in the SAE World Series. While the games are memorable, it's the reunions, friendships, and shared experiences that keep brothers coming back year after year.

This year marked only the second time in tournament history that a National Office team participated in the World Series. Known as β€œThe Nationals,” the roster featured current and former staff members representing various eras of service to the Fraternity.

Read how this tradition continues to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood.

We were honored to welcome Dan Alsaker (Idaho '72) to the Levere Memorial Temple this week.

Dan will soon serve as the 7th Chair of the SAE Foundation and brings a lifetime of leadership and service to the role. A recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor a brother can receive from the Fraternity, Dan has spent decades helping strengthen SAE.

Reflecting on his visit yesterday, Dan shared that his experience was about "living and understanding the structure of the Foundation's work" and seeing how SAE continues to create "a practical pathway for future undergrad generations to learn and live the basic tenants of the True Gentleman."

But in true Dan fashion, he then summed it all up much more simply:

"It all distills into my mindset of, 'being present.' A responsibility I don't take lightly... On an SAE t-shirt in bold letters, simply BE PRESENT."

Thank you for visiting, Dan! If you're ever in Evanston, stop by the LMT. We'd love to show you around, hear what you've been up to, and share what's new in the Realm.

"Once an SAE, ALWAYS an SAE."

The latest issue of The Record is filled with stories that bring those words to life... from brothers competing in the Greek Basketball Association to an exploration of how brotherhood can help combat the growing crisis of loneliness among young men.

Learn how today's chapters are shaping the next era of SAE and how alumni are leaving a lasting legacy through projects that will bring brothers together for years to come.

Because the lessons, friendships, and values of SAE don't end at graduation.

SAE isn't something you were.
It's something you ARE.
