"Do officers really eat a lot of donuts?" Asked an eager 5th grader as his classmates giggled. π€£
Earlier this month, the school officers assigned to CPCS, Officer Rios and Officer Delaney, paid a special visit to our scholars. They visited four classrooms and met with a group of boys, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Scholars had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions, and both officers handled them with professionalism, patience, and authenticity.
"We are grateful to Officer Rios and Officer Delaney for taking the time to connect with our scholars and share their experiences," said Dean of Culture, Mr. Fagbamila.
Events like these help strengthen positive relationships between young people and community members who serve them. π§‘

Don't just take our word for it! Here's how much our scholars loved and learned at the annual Share the Shore π field trip focused on conservation, bird knowledge, and creating art to promote ecological awareness. π π¨
"The thing I enjoyed the most about making a mural together was the creativity and the different ideas."
"I enjoy working together with my classmates to create the chalk mural on the beach. We all learned something new about birds and mural paintings, and we learned that keeping the birds safe will prevent harming birds!"
"It felt good to talk about how you can help the birds and to show people how you can save the birds."
"The absolute favorite part of this entire project is when we got to see the birds with the binoculars!"
"One way I can share what I learned with my family the next time we go to the beach is by telling them to not chase the birds. They might get scared."
"Protect the birds because birds need to live just like humans do."
SEMIFINALS. WON. π₯π
What a battle! In a match that had everyone on the edge of their seats, the Challenge Charter High School Girls Volleyball Team fought through three intense sets and refused to back down. With the score separated by just 2 points, our ladies dug deep, stayed composed under pressure, and secured the victory when it mattered most.
Now, the journey continues.
One more match. One more opportunity. One championship on the line. π
Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on an incredible semifinal win. Next stop: the Championship Game! Letβs finish what we started. πͺπ¦
