Farmington R-7 Parents as Teachers

The Farmington Parent Educators spent the past two days attending the MOPATA Retreat, gaining valuable knowledge, resources, and fresh ideas to better serve the families in our community.
Throughout the retreat, we participated in sessions covering a variety of topics designed to strengthen our work with parents and caregivers during home visits. We enjoyed connecting with fellow Parent Educators from across the state, sharing experiences, and learning new strategies to support healthy child development, family engagement, and parent-child relationships.
We are excited to bring what we’ve learned to Farmington and continue providing meaningful support to the parents and families we serve. Thank you to MOPATA for an inspiring and informative retreat!

Updated WIC income eligibility guidelines were just released! A family of 2 with a pre-tax (gross) income at or below $40,034 annually now qualifies. Participants in SNAP, TA and most MO HealthNet programs are automatically income-eligible for WIC. Opening day is almost here! 🎉🎉🎉

We can't wait to welcome the community back to the recently remodeled Farmington Water Park!

🌊Event Schedule🌊

10:30 AM – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
• Announcement of the Slide Naming Contest winners
• Winners will receive their prizes and take photos at the Water Park entrance (all winners have been notified)

10:45 AM – Exclusive First Entry
• Contest winners and their families will receive the first entry into the park
• Once they reach the top of the brand-new slide tower, the gates will open

11:00 AM – Summer Starts with a Splash!
• Contest winners will take the inaugural rides on the new slides
• The brand-new attractions will officially open for the season immediately following

The celebration will continue throughout opening day with drawings for free day passes, free season passes, and a summer essentials gift basket.
