Parents, one thing I need y’all to understand is this…

A child struggling in multiple subjects usually does NOT start with them ā€œnot paying attention.ā€ šŸ‘€

A lot of students are struggling because they were never fully taught how to read in a way that helps them truly understand, process, and think through what they’re learning independently.

And once students hit upper elementary and middle school?
Everything changes from ā€œlearning to readā€ to ā€œreading to learn.ā€

So if the foundation is weak… every subject starts to feel harder.

Reading. Math word problems. Science. Social studies. Testing. Independent work. Confidence. All of it.

That’s why summer is SO important. ā˜€ļø

Summer gives students the opportunity to:
✨ Strengthen foundational gaps
✨ Build confidence without classroom pressure
✨ Receive targeted support
✨ Learn strategies that actually help them think independently
✨ Walk into the next school year stronger instead of further behind

At Growing Strong Minds, our summer program is designed to help students grow academically while also rebuilding confidence in themselves as learners. šŸ¤

Spots are limited and already filling quickly for summer sessions!

One thing I need parents to understand is this:

A child struggling academically does not suddenly disappear because summer starts.

And I think sometimes we unintentionally treat summer break like a reset button when really… for some children… it becomes a pause that allows the gaps to grow even bigger.

Because while your child is moving to the next grade level… the expectations are moving too.

Reading gets harder.
Math moves faster.
Comprehension expectations increase.
Independence increases.

And children who already felt behind this year can start next year already overwhelmed before they even have the chance to rebuild confidence.

That’s why I will always speak up about intentional summer support.

Not because kids don’t deserve fun.
Not because they need to sit at a table all day.

But because they deserve to feel CONFIDENT when they walk back into school.

Some of the biggest transformations I’ve seen with students happened over the summer because we finally had the time and space to slow down, target the gaps, and help things click.

Summer tutoring is not punishment.
It’s preparation. šŸ¤

If your child struggled this school year, let’s work now before next year becomes even harder.

Summer enrollment for Growing Strong Minds is now open. ✨

Summer break is almost here… but learning loss doesn’t have to be part of your child’s summer story. ā˜€ļøšŸ“š

The truth is, so many students walk back into school in August already behind, struggling to catch back up during the first few months of school. That’s exactly why Growing Strong Minds created a summer program that keeps your child learning, growing, and confident ALL summer long. šŸ’”āœØ

Inside our 6-week summer program, your child will receive:
āœ”ļø Structured tutoring sessions
āœ”ļø 2 sessions per week
āœ”ļø A Student Success Kit šŸ“¦
āœ”ļø Access to our online learning portal
āœ”ļø Initial + final assessments to track growth

Whether your child is struggling with reading, lacking confidence, or simply needs extra support before the next school year… this program was created with THEM in mind. 🩷

🚨 Spots are LIMITED and enrollment is already filling FAST. Once spots are gone, they are GONE.

A lot of children don’t actually ā€œhateā€ reading… they just haven’t experienced reading in a way that feels enjoyable, successful, or connected to their interests yet. šŸ“ššŸ©·

Sometimes the avoidance comes from struggling with certain reading skills. Other times, children simply haven’t found books that truly excite them. That’s why it’s so important to pay attention to how your child responds to reading instead of forcing it to feel like a chore.

Here are a few ways to help:
✨ Find books based on THEIR interests
✨ Make reading interactive and fun
✨ Use funny voices and ask questions while reading
✨ Let them have a choice in what they read
✨ Focus on progress, not perfection

Reading should feel like an adventure, not punishment. The goal is to help children build confidence so they begin to see reading as something they can enjoy. šŸ«¶šŸ½

Parents… I know YouTube feels like the easiest option sometimes. You type in ā€œlearn to read,ā€ hand your child the iPad, and hope it clicks. But reading growth happens when children are actively practicing, making mistakes, getting corrected, and building confidence in real time. 🩷

A video can support learning… but it should never replace intentional teaching.

This summer, don’t let your child fall further behind while hoping they ā€œcatch on eventually.ā€ Let’s figure out what’s truly causing the struggle and create a plan that helps them grow in decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension step by step. šŸ“šāœØ

Inside of Growing Strong Minds Summer Sessions, your child will receive:
• Targeted reading support
• Interactive learning activities
• Encouragement that builds confidence
• Instruction based on THEIR learning needs
• A safe space to grow without feeling ashamed of mistakes

Summer is the perfect time to close learning gaps before the next school year begins. The earlier support starts, the easier it becomes to rebuild confidence and strengthen foundational skills. 🌱

Enrollment for my summer program is NOW OPEN and spots are limited. If you’re ready to stop guessing and start getting your child the support they truly need, click the link in my bio to enroll today. ā˜€ļøšŸ©µ

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week šŸ’œāœØ

Being in the classroom right now while working toward my degree isn’t always easy… but my students? They’re my reason why.

Every bit of growth I get to witness

That’s what keeps me going.

They don’t even realize it, but they push me to want more… to learn more… to become better—for them.

So when I say I’m working hard, it’s not just for me.
It’s for every student I’ve been called to serve šŸ’œ

Stop measuring your child against someone else’s timeline.

I’ve seen it too many times…
Parents getting discouraged because their child isn’t ā€œwhere they should beā€ compared to a sibling, a classmate, or what the school says.

But here’s the truth nobody says out loud:
✨ Learning is NOT one-size-fits-all.
✨ Growth does NOT happen overnight.
✨ And comparison? It does more harm than good.

Your child doesn’t need pressure… they need patience.
They don’t need to be rushed… they need to be understood.

When you shift from comparison to support, everything changes.
Confidence builds. Effort increases. Growth follows.

Every child can learn.
They just need the right approach and the right time.

Save this as your reminder šŸ’š
And share this with a parent who needs to hear it today.

POV: Summer isn’t a break from learning… it’s your child’s chance to catch up AND get ahead. šŸ‘€

A lot of parents wait until the next school year to realize their child was struggling… but the signs were already there.

Reading too slow.
Struggling to sound out words.
Reading… but not understanding.

This summer? We’re not ignoring it—we’re addressing it. šŸ’”

Be intentional. Ask the right questions. Create the routine.
Because consistency over the summer = confidence in the classroom.

And if you don’t want to do it alone… that’s where I come in. šŸ¤

Spots for summer sessions are now open—let’s get your child reading with confidence and comprehension.
