Happy 76th Birthday to His Royal Punkness, Area Fada – Charly Boy! 🎂🇳🇬🔥
Today, June 19th, we celebrate a true original: Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa.
From The Charly Boy Show that redefined Nigerian TV, to your fearless music, to your unapologetic voice in politics and activism – you’ve spent 76 years challenging the norm and living loud.
Renowned singer. Songwriter. Television presenter. Publisher. Producer. PMAN President. Idol Series judge. Controversial. Courageous. Unforgettable.
You taught a generation that “alternative” isn’t an insult – it’s a badge of honor. That punk isn’t just music, it’s mindset. That an Area Fada speaks truth even when it’s uncomfortable.
Thank you for 7+ decades of color, rebellion, and realness. For the piercings, the motorcycles, the activism, and for reminding Nigeria to think different.
May your new year be filled with good health, more gbas gbos, and the same fire that made a 32-year-old shock the nation in the 80s.
Keep rocking, keep fighting, keep being Charly.
We no go gree for you to slow down.
Happy Birthday, Charly Boy!
Long live His Royal Punkness! 👑🤘

Cristiano Ronaldo is goalless in his last 10 Portugal games at major tournaments:
Qatar 2022: vs Uruguay, vs South Korea, vs Switzerland, vs Morocco
Euro 2024: vs Czech Republic, vs Turkey, vs Georgia, vs Slovenia, vs France
World Cup 2026: vs DR Congo today.
Ronaldo’s last major tournament goal was a 65th-minute penalty vs Ghana in the 2022 World Cup group stage. Since then: 9 matches across the World Cup + Euros without scoring, plus today’s 1-1 vs Congo DR.
He’s had 19 shots in that span but hasn’t found the net. Portugal only had 1 shot on target today, the João Neves header.

Remembering Kefee, the Gospel Powerhouse
Today, June 12, we remember Nigerian gospel singer and composer Obareki Don Momoh, fondly known as Kefee, on the anniversary of her passing.
Born: February 5, 1980 | Died: June 12, 2014, age 34.
Kefee gave us worship that moved nations. Her voice, her anointing, and her joy changed gospel music forever. Kefee, died on June 12, 2014, from lung failure at a hospital in Los Angeles, California. She passed away after being in a coma for approximately 15 days, following a medical emergency mid-air.
Her timeless anthems:
Branama and Kokoroko - songs that still fill churches, homes, and hearts across Africa and beyond.
She may have left us too soon, but her praise echoes for generations. A voice, a worshipper, a legend.
Rest in peace, Kefee. Your Branama still lifts us.
