Coaching With JV

As she semester winds down… I am sure grateful for the Teaching & Learning Specialists I work with! Having a great team is a blessing indeed!

So glad I was able to Pink it Out with the school who was there for me while I navigated TNBC in 2023.

Finally all in the same building at the same time! Miss working with these two daily!

Funny how the years go by and you realize you have been leading PL conversations for a very long time… Enjoyed working with our K-12 admins today to talk about data reports and the PLC conversations and action steps that can stem from them!

What a year!

🫀Started a month late after open heart surgery.
👀 Returned to same role (instructional coach) but the role changed drastically!
⬆️ Went from serving 2 schools to 10 (with 5 of those priority schools)
🤯 Had a year of learning, growing, adapting, and becoming like no other!
⏰ Alarm turned off as of today.
🕶️ On summer mode.
🥳 Excited for what the 25-26 school year holds with new title : Teaching and Learning Specialist but same role!

Today was a great day presenting with Amanda & sharing K-12 literacy practices with other instructional coaches in our RESA and beyond! We even got to see our GSLA coach Nancy!

One of the perks of my changed role is that I get to enjoy the fun at a variety of secondary schools. Four different weeks of hoco fun.

This week was Patriot HOCO & they showed some love to the instructional coaches.

When you accept that your district coaching role no longer comes with spirit days.

This four year collection went into the lounge for others to grab for their own.

Accepting change is hard at first but sometimes if you give it a chance in you see the amazing possibilities.

This is me… a week of supporting 5 schools and delivering a day of PL to induction level teachers.

Also referred to as… planning on taking it easy this weekend.

A year ago while I wasn’t 100% I was at New Teacher Induction… this year however I am home and will be for a bit until I recover from open heart surgery. It feels so odd not to be staring the school year with everyone, but 14 days out of surgery, I know I am in no way ready for the hustle and bustle of the first weeks of school. I’ll be virtually connecting as much as possible to stay in the loop, but for now it’s about healing.
