Congratulations to Fayetteville Academy’s Callie Tisdale, who won the North Carolina State Civics Bee and will advance to the National Championship in Washington, D.C.!
The North Carolina State Finals for the 2026 National Civics Bee were held today at NC State University’s James B. Hunt Library in Raleigh. This premier nonpartisan competition challenges middle school students to demonstrate their knowledge of civics, government, and community problem-solving.
To compete, students first submitted essays identifying a challenge in their community and explaining how they would address it using civics and founding principles. After advancing through the regional level, Callie earned her place at the state finals and rose to the top.
We are so proud of Callie for representing Fayetteville Academy with confidence, knowledge, and purpose. What an incredible accomplishment!
Next stop: Nationals!
