Excellence in education starts here.💙🐴

Our Elementary Education Program has earned an A+ from the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) for preparing future educators in the Science of Reading.

This recognition reflects the outstanding work and leadership of our College of Education, including Dean Dr. Chandrika Johnson and Dr. Jocelyn Smith Gray, Interim Associate Dean and Chair, whose commitment to educational excellence continues to prepare future educators to make a lasting impact in classrooms and communities.

By equipping future teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to support literacy success, FSU is helping shape stronger readers, stronger schools, and stronger futures across North Carolina and beyond.

Congratulations to our faculty, staff, students, and school partners on this remarkable achievement!
