Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations Update

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) has released proposed changes to childcare licensing regulations that could impact childcare programs across the state.

These proposed changes address areas such as:
• Staff qualifications and training requirements- removing education requirements
• Director on-site requirements- limiting to 20 hours a week
• Classroom and facility regulations- having enough materials
• Meals and nutrition policies
• Health and safety standards

The proposed regulations are currently open for public comment through July 6, 2026.

We encourage families to review the proposed changes and share their thoughts directly with the state during the public comment period.

Today is for the women who love deeply, sacrifice endlessly, worry constantly, and still somehow keep showing up with love and strength. Motherhood comes in so many different forms, and every journey deserves to be recognized today.

Whether your babies are beside you, grown, covered in fur, or watching over you from heaven… you are seen, valued, and loved. Wishing comfort, love, and appreciation to every kind of momma today. 🌷❤️

They did it!! Congratulations to all of our high school apprenticeship students for graduating from Ivy Tech! Some earned their classroom support certification, we had one earn their classroom technical certificate, and one earn their CDA certificate 🎉🎓💓
