"We're being prepared for ministry and sometimes we don't even know. That's a testament to God's great and wonderful providence."
— Dr. Samuel Lamerson, Knox Theological Seminary

That's not the kind of thing you read in a textbook. It's what you learn after years in the Word, in the classroom, and in the lives of students you've watched God call and equip in ways they never saw coming.

This is who teaches at Knox. This is who you're known by as a student.

At this year's Commencement, Knox presented its Servant Leadership Award to Brian and Priscilla Kovack — and the significance runs deep.

Knox's campus bears the name of Dr. Ronald Kovack, Priscilla's late husband and Brian's father. While he was Knox's President, Dr. Ron Kovack led the seminary into a pivotal new chapter — launching online degree programs in 2008 and opening the doors of theological education to students around the world who could never have come otherwise. His vision shaped what Knox is today.

And today the Kovack family carries that vision forward.

Brian and Priscilla have given their time, their resources, and their hearts to Knox — not for recognition, but because they believe what Ron believed: that training faithful leaders changes churches, and changed churches change the world.

This award exists to honor people who lead by serving. The Kovacks have been doing that for a long time.

Thank you, Brian, Priscilla, and the entire Kovack family. The legacy continues.

Last Sunday we had the privilege of celebrating Seminary Sunday at CityRev Church — at their West Pines and Cooper City campuses — and we left grateful.

Grateful for a church that believes theological training matters. Grateful for a partnership that's bearing real fruit. Grateful for a shared mission for the next generation. And especially grateful for Pastor Robey Barnes — Knox alumnus, vice chairman of our board, and living proof that what happens in the classroom doesn't stay there.

Thank you, CityRev. Thank you, Pastor Robey. The partnership between our communities is one we don't take for granted.

This is what it looks like to be in, with and for the church. 🙌

You felt it 👉🏼 that pull toward deeper theological education, toward ministry training. But then the math didn't work. Seminary meant leaving your church, your city, your family, your job. So you pushed it back another year. And then another.

Knox was built for people like you. Fully online. Fully accredited through the ATS. No relocation required. No choosing between your life and your calling.

Knox is a Top 20 theological seminary. Reformed. Affordable. Built around your context — not ours.

Don't push it back another year. It's time to take that next step. Visit KnoxSeminary.edu to explore programs!

“Can we afford not to?”

Robey Barnes, pastor of City Rev Church, Knox alumnus, and Vice Chairman of our Board, reminds us why theological education matters for the next generation.

At a time when many theological institutions are shrinking, Knox is continuing to grow, innovate, and equip leaders to teach the timeless truths of Scripture in faithful and accessible ways.

This weekend, we’re grateful to be with City Rev for Seminary Sunday — a day for churches to celebrate the importance of theological education and the work of equipping leaders for the Church.

We’re thankful for partners like City Rev who believe this work matters.

Come see us this weekend.

One freedom was purchased on a cross. Another has been defended on battlefields across generations. Both cost everything. Both deserve our deepest gratitude.

Today we honor those who gave their lives so others could live freely — and we remember the One whose sacrifice made the ultimate freedom possible.

From Knox Seminary, we are grateful.

We’re still thinking about Commencement!

Graduates from around the world — including New Zealand — gathered to celebrate the completion of certificates, master’s degrees, and Doctor of Ministry degrees.

Behind every graduate are thousands of miles, countless hours of study, faithful perseverance, and the support and sacrifice of families, churches, and communities who walked alongside them.

We honor the work, the calling, and the faithfulness represented in this class.

Congratulations to Knox Theological Seminary’s 34th graduating class.

May the Lord continue to use you to declare and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Don’t take our word for it...

This is real feedback from a Knox student in Dr. Lamerson’s Hermeneutics course this spring. ☝

This is theological education for real ministry.

Students are not stepping away from their calling to study. They are being equipped within it — applying what they learn to the people and places God has entrusted to them.
