Who touched the thermostat? 🙋 Our students did! In our Electrical Systems Technology program students got real, hands-on experience wiring small HVAC systems.
Guided by Mr. Buchannan and Mr. Bolin, they handle everything from high and low voltage wires to relays, contactors, and thermostats.
They're building the skills that keep homes and businesses comfortable all year long. This is what learning by doing looks like at Laurel. 🔧

We're excited to recognize May 2026 Cardiovascular Technology graduate, Lori 'Ann' Impens, for her recent certification success!
👏 Ann is now a Registered Cardiac Sonographer working at The Medical University of SC - Charleston! She tells us that this was her dream job and we are so excited to share her success and recognize her hard work!

Today we bring a small awareness to the shortage of skilled workers in the U.S. because we love the skilled trades! Skilled tradespeople are essential to infrastructure, repairing, and manufacturing, and more! Many in these fields are nearing retirement, creating a high demand for new workers!

Today was ✨ Bring your Kid to Work Day✨ at Laurel! Campus Director, Ms. Carey brought her daughter in to show us all how real work is done 💪🏽 and she was a joy to have on campus, we’d welcome her back any day!
