Jaden’s Cosmetolgy Progress

i had a very fun day today! i did a partial highlight on my first client in the morning, then after lunch my wonderful boyfriend, Kaelan, came in and i did a deep condition and tried out a two-strand twist!

had my first ever client today! my classmate Victoria wanted a balayage, which was quite intimidating for my first time, but i think i did good! first pic is the before.

before and after of my highlights i did today that i did with a cap. i’m so happy to be back at school and i’m learning so much! thank you all for following my progress :)

had a great week back at school! today i did my first ever perm. i used different sized rods just for the practice (which is why the finished product looks a little crazy). i’m super proud of myself for jumping back into school straight out of covid. i still have a lot of makeup work to do, but i’m getting it done😎

a little bit about me (even though most of you already know):

the first haircut i ever gave was on myself when i was younger... as you could probably guess it didn’t go too well. apparently cutting off your sideburns isn’t a trend😬 later on in middle school i got my hair cut really short and started dying it all crazy colors. it was such a fun way to express myself. i still do it to this day! i am always changing the color of my hair and it’s a part of my identity at this point. i’ve also been doing my mom’s hair here and there for awhile now. hair is just such a fun way to show your personality, and i want to give other people the experience of looking in the mirror and feel like a whole new person!

hair is my passion, but so is making others happy! although for now it will just be on mannequins😂

with all that being said, i do have COVID right now and i won’t be back in school for two more weeks, so you probably won’t see much of me here. i’m doing okay, though, and i’m eager to jump back in as soon as i can!
