IEP/ 504 Plans? You’ve got this - and this checklist helps!!

As summer winds down, are you ready for the new school year? ☀️

It’s important not to assume that school staff are fully aware of your child’s 504 Plan or IEP.

Teachers may not have received a copy - or if they have, they might not have had the time to review it.

A quick “back-to-school check-in” with your IEP team can make a big difference. I highly recommend scheduling a meeting before the first day to make sure everyone is on the same page and prepared to support your child from day one.

Yesterday, June 26, Florida public schools were informed that any 3rd grader who has not yet passed the FAST test, will be given a final opportunity to test again between July 14 - 25th.

Most schools are closed this upcoming week for 4th of July so it could be the following week before parents will hear from the school. If your child is eligible for test retake, sessions can’t wait!
