Hi! I'm Heather and I teach ceramics classes to all ages in the Fort Myers and Lehigh areas of SWFL.

Create a functional, beautiful ring dish on the pottery wheel in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners and curious creatives alike. No prior experience is necessary—this class is all about exploration and learning through doing.

During the first session, we will be on the pottery wheel learning how to throw. We will be concentrating on learning and strengthening our centering skills, which is one of the first steps of throwing.

During the second session, we will glaze them! Many colors available. The ring holders will need to go back into the kiln one more time and they will be ready for pickup about a week later.

In June, clay classes for kids is going to meet twice but each time it will be 1.5 hours long 🥳

We will sculpt sea turtle plates and glaze them in a layered, step-by-step technique called the frozen pond technique. I have the three glazes that will turn the shells of their turtles into an absolute stunner of a piece. The plates will be food-safe, dishwasher-safe, as well as oven/microwave-safe too.

HandsOnClay.net is where you can find out more! Three class times/days are available, but hurry! Each class only has room for 8 students each!

Some of the Flower/Succulent Jewelry Dishes that Monday AM’s Class made for their Moms!

These took all of last week’s class and a little of this week’s to finish but they are so gorgeous! I can’t wait to see them glazed!

Monday’s clay class for kids aged 5-17 is a monthly class. Summer’s schedule is coming out soon with more day/time options. You can keep an eye out on HandsOnClay.net 🥳
