total 40 hours of training that the Department of Agriculture requires all Security Officers to go through before becoming completely certified in the state of Florida. The time for the class is 7am-5pm. 4 days total.

4-hour G License Re certification This is the required 4-hour qualification course that the state mandates for all class G licensee's to go through each year for each qualified firearm. This is the class to take if the student is wishing to certify under another action of firearm "38 Special Revolver, 380 ACP or 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol and 12 Guage Pump Action Shotgun". Classes are held every Wednesday 7am-11am by appointment only. Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training This is the self-defense class with chemical agents "pepper spray" course. This class will teach all students to use their chemical spray canisters effectively and how to defend themselves if they are themselves sprayed with pepper spray. Impact Weapon and Baton Training This is the self-defense with expandable batons or straight stick batons. This class will teach all students to use their batons effectively and how to defend against similar or improved weapons. The student will learn the liability and risks in using these tools. They will also learn the benefits and responsibility of their proper use. Classes are held every 4th Saturday of the month 10am-4pm. Advanced Concealed Weapons Permit This class is for the inexperienced or the new shooter. This class will not only give the proper class certification for licensing, but it will also qualify you with your own personal firearm. This course will give you the knowledge that you will be able to use your firearm with confidence and the knowledge of when to use it. Classes are held usually on Monday-Saturday 12pm and 2pm by appointment only. Concealed Weapons Class This class is more for the experienced shooter prior military or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not required. The class is the very basic course that will allow you to qualify to carry a concealed weapon. Basic Handgun Course This course is a must for anyone with no experience and wants to know basic fi****ms safety and how to defend themselves with a handgun. The training and techniques are the building blocks that should be learned if you are concerned for your safety and want to defend yourself from threats with a handgun. Classes are by appointment only. Basic Carbine Course This course is a must for anyone with no experience and wants to know basic fi****ms safety and how to defend themselves with a carbine. The training and techniques are the building blocks that should be learned if you are concerned for your safety and want to defend yourself from threats with a carbine. Transitional drills with your handgun are also included in the range training. Basic Shotgun Course This course is a must for anyone with no experience and wants to know basic fi****ms safety and how to defend themselves with a shotgun.
