📍 Where Is Wade Wednesday?

This week, Principal Wade is in Orlando attending Charter Schools USA’s Principal Institute.
Part of what makes Charter Schools USA such a great organization is the cross‑district collaboration, where school leaders come together to share best practices and learn what truly works across CSUSA schools.

In this session, principals focused on school finance and best practices, strengthening sustainability and operational excellence. 🎯

🎉 Fun highlight: Mr. Wade was the winner of a Kahoot game reviewing critical financial concepts—proof that strong leadership and knowledge go hand in hand!

This kind of intentional professional learning ensures our schools remain financially healthy, sustainable, and focused on student greatness.

Learning Comes to Life Through Hands-On Discovery! 🔍

This week, our students became young scientists as they made careful observations and participated in a hands-on flower dissection, exploring each part up close while building important science vocabulary. 🌼

To wrap up the lesson, students challenged themselves to label the parts of a flower using a diagram, applying their learning and strengthening confidence through practice. 👏

At GCS, we believe the best learning happens when students are actively engaged—developing Strong Minds and Good Hearts every day!

This week, our students explored blackout poetry, building literacy skills and confidence as they transformed text into meaningful, creative poems. ✍️🖤

They also enjoyed hands-on fun with tie-dye shirts and wrapped up the week with some pizza for lunch, celebrating effort, teamwork, and growth! 🌈🍕
