We are currently seeking FGCU students to serve as Camp Counselors for our 2026 STEM academy. If you are someone who is outgoing, knowledgeable, and passionate about working with the next generation of students, please consider this opportunity! See the flyer for more information.

Today, Community Engagement & Outreach hosted Labelle Middle School’s AVID Program. We got a chance to introduce 41 students to all of the wonderful resources and opportunities that Florida Gulf Coast University has to offer!!

It’s about inspiring the next generation to see the value in education and make them excited about the future!! I am honored to have the ability to pour into our youth and encourage them to follow their dreams!!

We are thrilled to announce our FGCU Math Competition for Middle and High School Students this fall!

Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025, 12:00 – 5:00 pm.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their problem-solving skills in both Individual and Team Competitions across the following categories: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, PreCalculus, Calculus, and Statistical Methods.

There is no cost for registration. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, collaborate with peers, and experience the excitement of mathematics on a university campus.

Last Friday, the Office of Community Engagement & Outreach proudly hosted our annual Community Partners’ Day. This signature event serves as a meaningful opportunity for both campus and community partners to connect, build relationships, and strengthen collaborative efforts that benefit our shared communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who participated, and a special thank you to the FGCU Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Institute for leading an engaging panel discussion. Their insights into the university’s evolving initiatives in artificial intelligence, both on campus and in the broader community, were inspiring and thought-provoking.

We look forward to another impactful year of service, partnership, and innovation in support of our community!

Today I had the pleasure to represent Florida Gulf Coast University at Veterans Park Academy for the Arts for their annual Career Day! I had so much fun engaging with the students! Being able to provide them with career options and hear some of their goals was truly a reminder of why I chose this profession! I also ran into some FGCU alumni! THESE ARE OUR FUTURE so we must invest in them early!

Good Morning!!! It’s that time of year again!! Applications for the 2025 Summer STEM Academy are now open!!! This unique camp is for current high school students in our 5-county area!!

Students will spend two weeks living on campus while being exposed to various aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics! They will also be provided SAT prep lead by university faculty!!

This camp is FREE OF CHARGE to the students and their families!! I encourage you to spread the word to help students have an unforgettable experience this summer!! Any questions, please let me know!

Today a few departments across campus who support student success hosted a panel aimed at highlighting First Generation college students! The speakers were current and graduates of who spoke to high school students about the trials and triumphs of being the first in their families to navigate the college experience.
