With more than 20 years of experience in public school education, Ms. Erica Roebuck brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new role as Assistant Principal. She has served in a variety of capacities, including assistant principal, math instructional coach, second language acquisition lead, testing coordinator, and curriculum designer.

Ms. Roebuck has developed curriculum internationally for second language learners and has seen firsthand how purposeful, innovative instruction can transform learning outcomes and unlock student potential.

She is deeply committed to fostering a positive learning environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through collaboration with teachers, students, families, and the community, Ms. Roebuck looks forward to continuing the tradition of success and excellence at Brewer High School.

Ms. Roebuck holds a Master of Education from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin. A native of Dallas, TX, she enjoys serving in her church, music, sports, and spending time with family.

We are thrilled to announce that Lela Barksdale has been named the new Assistant Principal of Brewer High School!

Ms. Barksdale brings 20 years of experience in public education and joins White Settlement ISD from Fort Worth ISD, where she served as an assistant principal, testing coordinator, humanities district instructional coach, teacher, and varsity coach.

A passionate instructional servant leader, Ms. Barksdale is dedicated to maximizing student success, supporting teacher growth, and building strong relationships within the community. She looks forward to supporting the amazing things happening at Brewer High School!

Ms. Barksdale holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from The University of North Texas. Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on local sports teams, and exploring our beautiful Texas parks and lakes.

Louis Harvill IV is thrilled to join the Brewer Bear Family! With 19 years of experience in public education, Louis previously served as a teacher and Instructional Specialist in Carrollton‑Farmers Branch ISD for 16 years, and most recently as an Assistant Principal in Maypearl ISD.

A grateful husband and proud father of an eight‑year‑old son, Louis is excited to bring his passion for education and student success to the Brewer community.

⭐️Led the Bears to the 5A D2 state championship game, first title appearance in program history
⭐️Led 3-0 before losing 6-5 against Montgomery Lake Creek ( #2 team in the nation; Lake Creek had allowed 3 runs in 5 previous games at UT-Austin)
⭐️Swept 30-win Hallsville (2025 5A D2 runner-up) in state semifinals
⭐️Bears went 27-10 - posting back-to-back 20 win seasons for the first time since 2014-2015
⭐️Averaged nearly 9 runs per game
