Because of our faithful supporters, Rivertree students are not just preparing for the next grade level. They are preparing for a lifetime of impact.

This fall our 5th graders will become members of Rivertree Academy’s very first 6th grade class. Together, they represent years of growth, learning, friendship, and perseverance. They have been known, loved, challenged, and encouraged by teachers who believe in their God-given potential.

We wanted to share a quick update: thanks to the generosity of our community, we've raised $50,000 toward our $400,000 goal!

We're incredibly grateful for every person who has already given. Your support is making a real difference in the every day lives of our students.

We still have $350,000 to raise and we're asking those who believe in this mission to help us close the gap.

💙 Fun Fact Friday at Rivertree Academy! 💛

Every year during our Graduation and Awards Ceremony, Rivertree Academy presents the “Love Well” Award to a student who consistently reflects Christ-like love, kindness, and character toward others.

This year, we were honored to rename this special recognition the Susanne Avondet Love Well Award in celebration of someone who truly exemplifies what it means to love well. For more than a decade, Susanne has faithfully supported Rivertree Academy through mentoring students, serving on our board, and investing in our school community in countless ways. Her impact has helped shape Rivertree into what it is today.

We were also thrilled to celebrate Hugo, a third-grade student who has demonstrated this same Christ-like love and compassion throughout the school year. What a special moment to have Susanne present the award to this year’s recipient!

At the beginning of the school year, our mentors committed to walking alongside these students with encouragement, guidance, and support. Over the year, we have watched beautiful relationships form and seen our scholars grow in their confidence, character, and faith.

Fun Fact Friday at Rivertree Academy!

Did you know that volunteers have been a part of Rivertree Academy since our very first school year? From helping in classrooms, to encouraging students and supporting staff, they truly are the heartbeat behind our school community.

Earlier this week, we had the joy of hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to celebrate the incredible people who faithfully serve our students and families. We were especially honored to recognize Ms. Bettye, who serves at Rivertree every single day through our partnership with AB Christian Learning Center and AmeriCorps Seniors. Her dedication, kindness, and commitment to our students make such a meaningful impact on our school each day.

Did you know that Rivertree Academy is more than a school? It’s a community where teachers are encouraged to build relationships, inspire curiosity, and make a lasting impact in the lives of students and families every single day.

From hands-on learning to Christ-centered mentorship, our staff members play an important role in helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

And right now, we’re growing our team! We are currently hiring a part-time After-School Teacher for Monday through Friday afternoons. This role includes supporting homework completion, leading enrichment activities, encouraging Christ-like character, and creating a safe and engaging environment where students can thrive.

Fun Fact: Some of the most meaningful learning happens after the final bell rings.
