Two TCU – Texas Christian University alumni went from selling acai bowls out of a kitchen to building a multimillion-dollar snack company.
Sophia Karbowski ’17 and Austin Patry ’17 started their first business as seniors after a TCU Neeley School of Business lecturer handed them $100 and sent them home to make acai bowls for the class. The pair landed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List in 2025.
“Dates are known as nature's candy,” Karbowski said.
