Located in the Polytechnic Historical District, T.A. Sims Elementary serves a large Hispanic population of students. Sims Elementary is named after Theophlous Aaron Sims. Sims has served 25 years with Fort Worth. Our first principal was Dr. Shirlene Potts. She introduced the very successful Spanish Immersion Program to our students. ⭐️🎶 A Texas-Sized Round of Applause! 🎶⭐️
Our 1st Grade Music Performance of “Texas, Our Texas” led by our incredible music teacher, Mrs. Amber Haas was nothing short of phenomenal! 🤠⭐️
This was truly a student-led production, and our Brilliant Bulldogs shined every step of the way:
✨ Scholars sang and danced with confidence and pride
✨ They read and recited self-written reflections in both English and Spanish, sharing what it means to be a proud Texan
✨ Programs were thoughtfully created by students, featuring their own artwork and writing
✨ Even the beautiful stage artwork was designed and created by our talented scholars
From start to finish, this performance showcased not only musical talent, but creativity, academics, leadership, and voice. We are so proud of our Brilliant Bulldog Scholars for owning their learning and bringing this production to life in such a heartfelt way!
