Thrilled to share my first outdoor art event/experience with my super talented students. It was a hot day but my students were troopers.

They learnt how to set up and talk about their art and gain insight on outdoor art events. The visitors were blown away by their talent.

Special thanks to Central Market FORT YARD in FortWorth for the invite. So grateful for this amazing experience!

Wenching and family, you guys were the best. Thank you so much for staying with us for the entire event and help with setup and tear down. You guys made it so easy for me 🤗🩷

TITLE: TIGHT EMBRACE (Work in progress)
Oil ans acrylics in Birch wood Panel

I LOVE AND HATE airports! Hate the long flights, hate the security checks and absolutely hate the stress of it all and hate departures of loved ones.

Absolutely love the crowd, love watching people do their thing and you can tell/read people like books.
And to me personally I love when those familiar faces appear out of 100s of strange faces. Those few seconds of anticipation built to a huge sense of relief. Just love all the arrivals! Tight embrace is shot from few years back when my parents visited us in Dallas and I lived all the emotions through my daughter, who was so excited to see her grandparents. The entire 30 mins ride to the airport was double the anxiety and double the joy.

So honored and incredibly proud that two of my students were selected for this year’s Art Dealers Spring Gallery Night! 🩷

This special event celebrates young DFW creatives, giving them a platform to showcase and sell their artworks. Out of several hundred entries, only a handful were chosen and I’m thrilled to share that Saanvi and Amudhan were among the select few!

Not only did they step into the real art world, but they also successfully sold their original pieces and prints at the show such an amazing achievement!

My heart is so full sharing this moment. So proud of these talented young artists! ✨

Thank you for creating such a meaningful opportunity. Truly grateful!

Happy Valentine's day!

In a world that loved clean lines and polished surfaces, that little girl felt out of place, tried to hide her very dark skin, crooked nose and thick eyebrows, covering her skinny dark brown arms with Long sleeves in summer. Bangs over her brow. She studied herself the way livestock judges studied cattle, searching for faults before anyone else could name them.

But she didn’t understand that in a working farm, no one cares if the cow’s markings are perfectly placed. They care whether she stands steady in winter. Whether she feeds others. Whether she endures. That little girl endured.

Over time, people stopped noticing her “imperfections” first. They noticed the way she listened without flinching. The way she stayed when things became difficult. The way she carried grief like something heavy but manageable. Her markings, it turned out, were not disqualifications.
They were evidence and eventually exuded strength, the kind of inner strength that cannot be taken away!
