What happens when you blend Montessori with other powerful early childhood philosophies?
We take the foundational principles of Montessori, like independence and hands-on discovery, and blend them with the collaborative creativity of Reggio Emilia and the personalized pathways of Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences.
By combining these proven philosophies, we create an individualized curriculum that meets each child exactly where they are, honoring their specific learning style and creative expression.
We are so proud of our graduates! This ceremony was such a special moment for all of our families to celebrate this milestone.
We will miss every single one of these graduates, but we know they have incredible things ahead!

This is what the end of a year at Ivybrook Academy Frisco looks like. 💚
Caps, gowns, and a dance number that brought down the house!
Watching them take that stage with so much confidence and joy is the moment we work toward all year.
To our graduating class: you have earned every bit of this. We are so proud of who you are and everything you are about to do!
Kindergarten doesn’t know what’s coming! 🙌

When parents think about kindergarten readiness, they often think about letters, numbers, and early literacy skills. While those skills certainly matter, research consistently shows that social-emotional development is equally predictive of long-term academic success.
At Ivybrook Academy, social-emotional learning is not a separate subject on the schedule. It's in everything we do. Group projects, collaborative play, and guided conflict resolution all give children daily practice in empathy, self-regulation, and communication.
By the time our students leave Ivybrook, they are academically and emotionally prepared for what comes next.

When parents think about kindergarten readiness, they tend to think about letters and numbers first. Can my child write their name? Do they know their shapes?
Those skills matter. But the research on school readiness points somewhere else: children who enter kindergarten with strong social-emotional skills (sharing, taking turns, managing frustration, asking for help, sitting in a group) perform better academically through third grade than children who enter with early literacy skills alone.
Our classes are built around both. Academic foundations and the emotional confidence to use them in a real classroom with 20 other five-year-olds.
Fall enrollment is open for the 2026-27 school year. Morning sessions available. Schedule a tour to see what we mean about the intentionality of our space.

Up until this point, you've been your child’s only teacher.
You've guided their first steps, cheered for their first words, and patiently answered their endless questions. Sharing that role for the very first time is a significant moment for both you and your child.
Our classrooms are designed to be a natural extension of the warmth and security of home, giving children the space to explore the world with independence and confidence while giving parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing their child is truly seen.

We love reflecting on the stories our families share with us about their time at Ivybrook Academy.
“My son has attended Ivybrook for the last 3 years. He has learned so much academic and social skills while in the half day program. He does so many activities and comes home so proud of his homework and art. Definitely he will be ready for Kindergarten!!” (Mika D.)
“We’ve seen him grow so much, both socially and academically. The environment is caring, creative, and structured in all the right ways.” (Carolina P.)
“Every day she comes home smiling and excited to tell us what she did. The environment feels safe, clean, and full of love.” (Yang J.)
“The Montessori approach has been amazing for my son’s social and academic development, encouraging independence, creativity, and critical thinking.” (Kayla D.)

What are loose parts?
Unlike traditional toys with a specific function, loose parts are open-ended materials chosen for their versatility and ability to encourage creativity and inventiveness.
With students leading their own learning, loose parts can inspire anything from artistic masterpieces to engineered structures!
By providing open-ended materials like natural elements and everyday objects, we encourage endless possibilities for imaginative play and exploration.
Frisco moves fast. New construction on every block. Traffic on 423 and the Tollway. Neighborhoods still filling in.
Our classrooms are quiet on purpose. Low shelves, natural materials, soft lighting. The environment is designed so children can focus without competing with noise, clutter, or overstimulation.
We borrow this from the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which treats the classroom itself as a teacher. The space shapes how children engage. When the room is calm, the children are calmer. When the children are calmer, the learning goes deeper.
If you’ve toured schools that felt hectic or crowded, come see the difference a designed environment makes. We’ll walk you through the campus ourselves.
