ππββοΈ Summer camp has been a blast at Cherokee Charter Academy!
Our second grade students have had the opportunity to learn about water safety and receive swimming lessons from the amazing staff at the YMCA of Gaffney. These experiences help students build confidence, develop important life skills, and have fun while staying active.

πβοΈ Our 4K and 5K Summer Camp students have had a blast reading, learning, and working together this week!
Did you know that reading for at least 20 minutes each day can help build vocabulary, improve comprehension, and foster a lifelong love of learning? At Cherokee Charter Academy, we believe literacy is the foundation for success. That's why we make reading fun while encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and creativity.
We are so proud of our campers and all the enthusiasm they have shown this week. From sharing stories to working together on activities, they have made summer learning both meaningful and exciting!

Our Summer Camp students in Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades had an amazing opportunity yesterday to visit the Cherokee County Library for an exciting animal demonstration presented by Wildlife Geeks! π¦ππ¦
Students enjoyed learning about a variety of fascinating animals while gaining a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation.
A special thank you to Heath Ward and the Cherokee County Library team for partnering with us and helping provide enriching experiences for our students. We are grateful for the many opportunities our community offers to make summer learning fun, engaging, and memorable! β€οΈ

π Celebrating Excellence at the Charter Institute at Erskine's Eighth Annual Awards Banquet! π
Cherokee Charter Academy was proud to attend the Charter Institute at Erskine's Eighth Annual Awards Banquet, an event that continues to reflect the tremendous growth of school choice in South Carolina and our state's commitment to educational freedom. This year, more than 600 individuals from across the state, country, and world gathered to celebrate excellence in education and recognize those making a lasting impact on students and families.
We were honored to recognize our Students of the Year, Brooklynn Pennington (Elementary) and Haven Clark (Middle School); our Teachers of the Year, Molly Blanton (Elementary) and Jessica Bridges (Middle School); and our Volunteer of the Year, Brittany Varner, for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to making a positive difference in our school community.
Our Students of the Year exemplify academic achievement, strong character, and leadership. Our Teachers of the Year demonstrate an unwavering commitment to student success and inspire excellence every day in their classrooms. Our Volunteer of the Year generously gives her time and support to help our school and students thrive.
The Institute recognized 140 outstanding individuals who walked across the stage and are setting the standard for service and excellence in education. We are incredibly proud that Cherokee Charter Academy was represented among this distinguished group of honorees.
