Registered Behavioral Therapists at Dream Light ABA in Jacksonville completed their Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and Certification through the American Heart Association, conducted conveniently at their clinic location.
In addition, Heartsaver First Aid Training was highly encouraged for these non-healthcare providers. ABA therapy clinics, much like schools and other organizations, must have robust emergency preparedness plans in place. This includes responding effectively to medical emergencies such as severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
An overview of these critical emergency situations was also introduced, reinforcing awareness and readiness among staff.

The more you practice,
the greater your chance to save a life.
First Aid may seem simple.
CPR may look straightforward.
But in the moment of crisis, the skills, not knowledge, make the difference.
That’s why we train.

Infant BLS with two rescuers requires teamwork, communication, and high-quality CPR to improve survival during a pediatric emergency.
At Healthforce Training Center USA CPR BLS ACLS PALS Jacksonville, Florida, students practice real hands-on infant resuscitation skills including:
• Two-thumb encircling chest compressions
• Proper compression depth of 1.5 inches and rate 100-120 compressions per minute
• Coordinated 15:2 compressions-to-ventilation ratio for 2-rescuer
• Effective bag-mask ventilation of one breath over one second
• Role switching every 2 minutes to prevent fatigue
• AED use for infants and children
• Team dynamics during pediatric emergencies
Hands-on repetition builds confidence and muscle memory preparing rescuers to respond quickly and effectively when an actual infant emergency arises.
We practice skills for two minutes in class. 🌟
