“A bipartisan bill to end subminimum wages for workers with disabilities is sitting in Congress, with co-sponsors that range from Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.). The argument against passing it has always been the same: that ending the practice would result in workers with disabilities losing their jobs. But new peer-reviewed evidence shows that argument is wrong.”

Cataract Awareness Month 👁️
When people think of cataracts, they often think of older adults—but did you know that babies and young children can have cataracts too?
Children may be born with cataracts or develop them during childhood. Because vision is still developing, early identification and treatment are critical. Signs may include:
✨ Poor visual attention or eye contact
✨ Eyes that appear cloudy or white in photos
✨ Nystagmus (rapid eye movements)
✨ Misaligned eyes
✨ Delayed visual development
For infants and young children, regular vision screenings and eye exams play an important role in supporting healthy visual development.
This Cataract Awareness Month, let’s raise awareness that cataracts can affect people of all ages. Early detection can make a lasting difference in a child’s ability to learn, play, and explore the world around them.
