This week, Pennsylvania House Bill 2632 advanced out of the House Education Committee, and it is now moving on the House floor and in House Appropriations. It has not passed the full House, and it has not gone to the Senate. That is exactly why your voice matters today, while legislators are still deciding.
What the bill actually does. House Bill 2632 was introduced by Rep. Nikki Rivera and framed in her memo as "closing EITC reporting gaps." In practice, it would:
-Terminate Pennsylvania's current educational tax credit authority, the EITC/OSTC programs your school community depends on.
-Replace it with a new "education options tax credit," a new scholarship-granting-organization framework, and a new restricted account called "Accountability for Diverted Tax Dollars."
-Add new reporting and audit requirements on schools and scholarship organizations.
What supporters of these scholarships estimate is at stake:
-Roughly $102 million cut from K-12 scholarship funding.
-About 30,000 current scholarships put at risk.
-A new 2% tax on scholarship organizations.
-Elimination of the Economically Disadvantaged Schools program.
These figures are the estimates of the program's supporters and the bill's opponents, not settled fiscal fact. But the structure of the bill is on the record, and the funding that keeps tuition affordable for entire school communities is squarely in play.
Lawmakers respond to the people they represent. A short, personal note from someone in their own district carries real weight, and you do not have to write it from scratch.
In about 2 minutes, our advocacy page builds ready-to-send, fully editable letters to your own PA state representative and senator. You add your school's story in your own words, and we handle the rest. All it takes is your basic contact information.

Students in 7th and 8th grade are welcome to join the Delone Jr. High Cross Country team and can participate in summer camp at the end of the July. We also welcome any 5th or 6th graders interested in practicing with the cross country team to begin their training. We will try to run a few 5Ks as a SFX group again this year to allow those students to participate in a race. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Mrs. Parry at [email protected].
