The Williston Basin Petroleum Conference brought together energy industry leaders in Bismarck last month, and UND was right in the mix. Dean Ryan Adams, incoming Petroleum Engineering Department Chair Johannes Van der Watt, Senior Director for Development Robin Turner, Director of Development Brett Austin, and EPE students Rockson Aluah and Kalu Chuchumeka represented CEM at this year's WBPC.

CEM graduate Mohammad Affan, M.Eng, M.ASCE (2024) is making an impact on one of the largest transportation projects in the country. He serves as a field engineer on the $2.3 billion I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge Project in Lake Charles, La., with Louisiana Bridge Builders. His path from a UND internship with North Dakota Department of Transportation to large-scale infrastructure construction reflects the hands-on preparation CEM provides.
