| Beginning on June 15, all 11 and 12-month employees will follow the modified schedule, working from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and will be off on Fridays. School and district offices will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The summer schedule will continue through Friday, Aug. 14. GCS will return to the regular five-day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. workweek on Monday, Aug. 17.
GCS schools and offices will be closed on Thursday, June 18, in observation of Juneteenth. All schools and district offices will also be closed to the public from June 29 to July 3.

Good evening, Falcons, this is Southeast Middle School with an important announcement regarding the state EOG exams. The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday May 27th: Math 2 Test
Thursday May 28th: ELA EOG for all grades
Friday May 29th: Math 1 EOC
June1st: 6th and 8th grade Math EOG
June 2nd: 7th Math EOG, 8th Science EOG
June 3rd: All regular Makeup EOG’s
June 4th ELA Retest
June5th: Math retest
June 8th: Field Day
Attendance on exam days is very important this year. If a student misses an exam, they will have to take the makeup on June 8th and miss SEMS Field Day.
Students need to be at school between 8:05 and 8:30 am.
During exams days student may not be checked out until ALL testing is completed, usually around 2:00 pm.
During End of Grade exams, Students are not allowed to bring items like blankets, pillows. They are also not allowed to have in their possession cell phones, smartwatches, or any other electronic recording, listening devices. during testing. All students will place their electronic devices in a zip log bag with their name on it in a basket in the room they are testing in. Please speak to your student about this prior to exams.
Any student found or observed with a cellphone must be dismissed from the testing and a misadministration declared.
