Todayβs Whoβs Running EBA? spotlight shines on Mrs. Emily Miller-Emery, whose unwavering leadership continues to elevate and expand the AVID Program at E.B. Aycock Middle School!
As our AVID teacher and coordinator, Mrs. Miller-Emery is committed to ensuring students are equipped with the skills, mindset, and opportunities needed to succeed in middle school, high school, college, and beyond. Through her leadership, our AVID program continues to grow and impact more students each year.
Mrs. Miller-Emery has been instrumental in expanding AVIDβs influence across our school by promoting strategies that enhance student agency, ownership of learning, organization, collaboration, and academic confidence. Her work supports not only AVID students but also helps strengthen teaching and learning experiences throughout EBA.
Whether she is leading students through college and career readiness experiences, supporting schoolwide AVID implementation, coordinating enrichment opportunities, or helping students discover their potential, Mrs. Miller-Emery consistently inspires others to aim higher and dream bigger.
