Science and art? Last week our team worked to build a swishy circuit. The team used play dough to create a biome and built a circuit in the biome that had light and motion. Another fantastic idea to bring back to our Bullpups. ArtsNOW

It’s been a great few days with our Berea team at Arts Now Foundational Seminar! ArtsNOW

Arts integration is more than exposing students to the arts, it is using arts skills, vocabulary, and strategies to enhance learning. Our work today focuses on leveraging the arts to deepen student understanding, increase engagement, and strengthen the application of academic standards. By intentionally connecting artistic processes with instruction, we provide students with multiple pathways to learn, think critically, and demonstrate mastery.

This morning we discussed integrating art into classrooms through literature. We discussed as a group how we can cut through the traditional mold as educators to use mediums that support all students no matter their background guaranteeing that we build inclusive practices that change and impact the whole child. Our adaptation came from the idea of Harold and the Purple Crayon and how he created his world. ArtsNOW

🛒 Donations Needed: We are looking for store-bought chips, soda, cookies, candy, popcorn, and water. Every little bit helps the Shine Committee celebrate our staff!

Our K5 students recently put their imaginations to paper, and the results were nothing short of magical. But the journey didn’t stop there! 🎨 ➡️ 🗿

The talented art students from Berea High took those creative drawings and used their skills to bring them to life as incredible sculptures. From whimsical creatures to colorful characters, seeing these “mini-masterpieces” transformed into 3D art was a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

We love seeing our Berea community connect through creativity! A huge thank you to the high schoolers for inspiring our youngest artists and making their visions a reality.

Taking the stage at the iconic Peace Center, these talented students joined voices with peers from across the county to create a truly spectacular performance. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off—they let their light shine bright and inspired us all! 🌟👏
